Field Sales Representative - Western Pennsylvania Region

Manages territory to maximize sales and profits. Increases customer loyalty and continually evaluates new customer prospects. Must possess a good understanding of products, local market buying influences, pricing requirements and competition. This position requires calling on architects, building owners, consultants, glazing sub-contractors, and GCs. Travel is up to 50%. The position reports to the Regional Sales Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Manages ongoing sales process, develops relationship, responds to and anticipates customer needs. Actively listens, probes and identifies concerns. Understands the customer's business and speaks their language. Demonstrates financial and business acumen to develop credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment.
•Seeks out, targets and initiates contact with prospective customers. Develops network of contacts. Understands and leverages sales process checkpoints as well as demonstrates evidence of gaining small trial closes and commitments.
•Technical product promotion to customer base
•Identify viable and profitable opportunities to include closing projects and retrieving the proper documents and paperwork.
•Generate leads through lead service programs and responsible to follow and pursue viable prospective projects. Develop own set of leads through local contacts and the promotion process.
•Lead role in prospecting and qualifying potential new customers
•Coordinate sales activity in the assigned territory.
•Call on architects to promote products through detailing and specification writing
•Provide lunch and learn presentations to architects
•Promote and sell products to customer.
•Provide weekly and monthly territory reports to the Regional Sales Manager
•Meeting established sales quotas and revenue goals.
•Resolving problems with products and services

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A./B. S.) from a four-year college or university; and 5 plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as specifications, blue prints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization using PowerPoint, product literature, product layouts, and test reports.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, , fractions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Must be able to convert data into charts and graphs. Good math aptitude is required.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
