The person filling this role will work to grow our portfolio of window and door (fenestration) clients in North America helping them to grow their businesses using our products and services.

Soft Tech is a dedicated software development company that has been delivering engineering applications within the Fenestration Industry for over 30 years. We have a global presence with our US office based in Ft Lauderdale. Our portfolio of innovative solutions helps fenestration business right through their life cycle from quoting to manufacturing, with a key focus on the commercial and residential window, door and curtainwall space. Our software supports many of the leading manufacturing companies worldwide and is used by over 10,000 customers.
About the Role
Based in our Ft Lauderdale office, you will be focused on searching out new opportunities and getting clients to uncover unmet needs and challenges that we can solve through our products and services including:
Uncovering new opportunities and business needs
Turning those needs into actual sales of our products and services
Working with small to enterprise level window and door companies throughout North America
Partnering with internal stakeholders at Soft Tech to ensure successful delivery of your deals
Working with the wider Sales team in a pre-sales process in order to provide good handover to Strategic Account Manager, post implementation
What You’ll Need to be Successful
Have a clear understanding of the window and door industry with a minimum of 5 years working with and/or calling on companies in this space. If you DON’T have this market exposure, do not apply as you will not be considered.
You will need to develop a strong competency of our deployed systems and be able to explain them at a level that would allow you to be considered knowledgeable.
You will need to have a proven, and verifiable, track record of building relationships and trust with key decision makers. This will be one of your foundational keys to success.
Able to work in an agile, constantly changing environment. If you thrive on the steady, stable and predictable, this job is not for you. If you come alive with variety and challenge, you will love this position.
A solid understanding and attraction to technology, gadgets and the latest ways to make life and business work better. If you still want to hang onto that trusty flip phone or Blackberry, you’re not a good fit.
Exceptional decision making skills
You will need to be teachable, coachable and have a willingness to learn from others. If you always think you have all the answers and can’t learn from others or follow leadership, please do not apply. You will report to a player/coach leader within our organization and he is looking for someone willing to be a part of a team.
Once up and running, you will need to be able to work effectively with minimal supervision as we will not micro-manage you.

About Soft Tech Group
OVER 30 YEARS OF INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP
The Soft Tech Group originated in New Zealand in the 1980’s. Its close relationships with local leaders of the fenestration industry enabled Soft Tech to establish a strong position in the local market. Subsequently, the Group’s software sold readily overseas and the organisation became international.
In the late 1990’s, the company established a series of strategic partnerships with fenestration companies around the world for the purpose of rewriting its applications from a “blank slate”. The new series software, labelled V6, enabled the company to rapidly expand and eventually dominate significant markets, notably the commercial storefront markets of North America, the UK and France plus the general market in Australia. Offices are now established in Sydney (Australia), Fort Lauderdale (USA), Bristol (UK) and Toulouse (France) from which sales, support and consulting services are provided.
Recently, the Group has invested heavily in India both to pursue sales and to establish a bank of support staff. In spite of the Global Financial Crisis, the company continues to expand especially in new territories such as South Af...rica and Turkey.
The Group is focused only on servicing the fenestration industry. It is privately owned with Directors and shareholders having long careers in fenestration.
