The Jordan Thomas Fdn. is seeking an Executive Director to replace the retiring Director. The foundation is also moving from Chattanooga, TN to Nashville, TN. This position is a one-person shop that requires breath and depth of experience and knowledge but is currently not full-time.
Jordan Thomas Foundation Executive Director Duties and Responsibilities
Articulate and implement mission, goals and objectives.
Assist board in development of policies, programs, and services.
Ensure effective fund development.
Create and manage Grants and Proposals.
Manage Donor Cultivation and Recognition.
Marketing and Public Relations
Oversee website, FaceBook site and other social media avenues.
Develop event promotions and publicity.
Provide and promote accountability to donors.
Create newsletters and publications, all print materials.
Answer all emails and phone calls for JTF.
Facilitate Board of Directors and Board Meetings as well as oversee agendas and supporting documentation and government required documents.
Facilitate Investment Subcommittee.
Maintain oversight and cultivation of volunteers.
Manage Mail, Deposits, Accounts Receivable and Payables, Online donor system ( including credit card donations), and work closely with accountants for monthly/quarterly/annual financials. Oversee IRS Form 990 annual filing.
Maintain financial checks and balances. This position does not write checks or dispense funds.
Manage and Direct Special Events, volunteers, sponsors, attendees, vendor contracts, invitations, reservations, marketing, communications, budget and VIP management as well as logistics, entertainment and food and beverages.
Travel and coordinate recognition and award trips, as well as vendor events.
Host national and international news reporters and coverage.
Maintain Officers and Directors Insurance/Liability Insurance.
Create and manage Deposits/Thank you Letters/All JTF Correspondence.
Manage and oversee historical documents and JTF goods in warehouse.
Implement and coordinate local, state and national registrations for solicitations, corporate annual reporting, legal and public titles.
Promote public awareness.
Be a resource for leaders in government, community and corporations.
Visit and speak at local community and trade groups.
Jordan Thomas Personal Requests
Filter and coordinate all requests to Jordan for speaking and support engagements.
Implement and manage requests accepted by Jordan.
Provide preparatory information to Jordan, including talking points and visuals.
Communicate with recipients, and between recipients, their families and the JTF board.
Promote open relationships and continuous followup with each recipient.
Manage requests and payments for recipients and their prosthetists.
Oversee up-to-date information, photos, and status on each recipient.

Additional Salary Information: This job currently is part-time and pays an agreed hourly fee.
