1) Directs and lead by setting strategic direction, developing policies and establishing priorities, evaluating, programs and establishing policies, procedures, systems and standards to ensure efficient and effective department operations that align with the City's goals.
2) Implements 2016 Parks Master Plan recommendations
3) Researches grant opportunities, writes and administers applicable parks and recreation grants.
4)Develop and maintain strong partnerships with public and private sector interests including local jurisdictions, state agencies, non-profit organizations, corporations and others.
Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, parks management or a directly related field.
5 to 8 years of progressively responsible management experience with responsibilities for strategic planning, budgeting, personnel management and operational planning.
Acceptable equivalency: Any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
