The Pre-Sales Consultant/Solutions Sales provides pre-sales consulting and product demonstrations of our market leadingapexportal Solutions for the Sales and Marketing organization – to include supporting the Global Sales Team. A proven expert at creatively communicating through multiple methods - a full understanding of the software products and their real benefit to prospects, with an ability to resolve a wide range of business and technical issues in creative ways.
Leads requirements discovery sessions and software demonstrations with prospects as part of the overall Sales cycle.
Develops and maintains knowledge of products, integration, applications, underlying technology, and services of the company and its competitors.
Leads answering and completing request for information (RFI) and request for proposal (RFP) documents.
Assists with the creation and delivery of presentations to sales prospects.
Develops strong relationships with the prospects and existing clients.
Develops strong relationships with the sales organization to ensure teamwork and synergy.
Communicates and strategizes with the US Sales Executives.
Promotes and sells the complete product solutions to customers.
Works with the product management team (when necessary) to develop solutions that will deliver the desired solution functionality and benefits.
Assists with managing the product demo environment and driving changes and enhancements for product demonstrations.
Assists with preparation of databases for sales presentations for both Europe and US as needed.
Assists Marketing with presentations at trade shows or conferences as needed.
Knowledge of Procure to Pay technology solutions and processes, Accounts Payable and/or Financial Shared Services solutions and processes.
Knowledge of one or more Financial ERP systems
Knowledge in Financial Reporting or Analytical Software
Knowledge of APEX FirstStrike® software solutions a plus
Strong comprehensive knowledge of products in the P2P, eInvoicing and Risk Management markets - a plus
Strong presentation skills at a technical and business level
Excellent customer communication skills with the ability to be an active listener
Strong English language skills – a second language is a plus
Ability to demonstrate resilience and resourcefulness when solving complex problems.
Ability to be a team player, as well as being able to work independently.
Ability to travel globally and with the dedication and flexibility to perform the job at the highest level.
Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Management Information Systems or equivalent practical experience in a related field is required
Three to five years of experience in P2P, eInvoicing and Risk Management software environment - in a presales role.
Financial Shared services experience a plus – but not required.
