The Conference and Membership Manager shall be responsible for helping develop and implement a strategy for all aspects of NACE’s Annual Conference. The candidate would manage all aspects of a 500-delegate annual conference as well as cultivating relationships with venues, designers, copywriters, printers and other associated vendors. Must be able to negotiate pricing and timing to ensure promotions remain on schedule and within budget. There is no supervisory component to this position.
The Conference and Membership Manager shall also be responsible for membership recruitment strategy as well as recruitment of prospective corporate members. Candidate would also serve as liaison to corporate members.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong project management skills including attention to detail and follow-through, as well as ability to manage several projects at once; Must be a team-oriented person who can share information, goals, opportunities, and successes with the appropriate parties. Must be a self-starter who is able to work independently, understands the need for detail in the midst of work being done within a much larger picture; Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends and potential new channels and strategies.

3-4 Years Conference Planning, preferably with a trade association
2-3 Membership servicing and recruiting, preferably with a trade association
Excellent writing and editing skills
Excellent oral communications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and membership database systems
Bachelor’s degree required
