We are currently seeking a Corporate Director, Strategic Planning who will lead a wide variety of work efforts including complex initiatives of major scope at the corporate, divisional or site level to include hospital business development, service line planning, and market / industry strategic planning. This role may also lead business development initiatives such as joint ventures, partnerships and mergers and acquisitions activities as assigned. The Corporate Director, Strategic Planning must be comfortable and capable of interacting at the most senior levels of the organization including the C-suite. Must have the ability to deliver senior level presentations and be able to back up conclusions with data driven evidence and market insights.
This position will have direct influence on developing and executing growth strategies by working across multiple business units and corporate support areas. Master’s degree in Business (MBA), Healthcare Management (MHA), or other related field required.
Minimum five (5) years’ progressively responsible experience in strategic analysis in a healthcare organization with demonstrable results.
Requires superior analytical, project management, critical thinking, problem solving, and relationship building and communication skills.
Leads and/or participates in complex projects of the Strategic Planning and Business Development function at the corporate, divisional or site level
The Corporate Director, Strategic Planning will be assigned to multiple projects at any given time in addition to receiving ad hoc requests as required by the needs of the business. The director will routinely partner with other members of the Strategic Planning and Business Development teams, provide direction, and will work directly with other internal and external stakeholders to complete project work
Performs complex and advanced business unit level analytics including, but not limited to, internal or external financial, operational and/or market data, and is able to summarize into key findings for senior leadership
Owns the service line planning process resulting in detailed service line specific growth plans at both the enterprise and the individual facility level
Will Identify, structure, prioritize, and lead projects or major work streams related to OH strategy, priorities, and special initiatives
Must have the ability to work autonomously often with limited direction and supervision
Participates in cross-functional teams and operates at all levels of the organization
Requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing project and stakeholder demands
Must have a can-do attitude with the ability to embrace ambiguity and take action without perfect information
Must have the ability to shape vague situations into a clear framework for advancement of work product and deliverables
Possesses a detailed understanding of health care industry trends including but not limited to payment models, care delivery settings, value based care, consumer demands, new market entrants and technology and process innovations.
Communicates effectively, including verbal and written communications, and will frequently interact, directly and indirectly, with senior leaders across the healthcare system
Possesses proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Proficient in the use of industry data sources such as Truven, AHCA, Advisory Board, Sg2
Excellent project management skills. Project Management Institute, PMP certification desired, but not required
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
