LeadingAge Texas (www.leadingagetexas.org), the State’s premier association of not-for-profit aging care & service organizations, is seeking a talented individual to serve as its Manager of Sales & Business Development.
The Manager of Sales & Business Development is responsible for managing the day-to-day interactions with members, actively engaging members in group purchasing programs, coordinating sales and marketing efforts for Value First (www.valuefirstonline.com/tx) and ensuring that members have their needs met in a timely fashion, with direct sales to members a core function. Primary responsibilities include active solicitation of members to participate in group purchasing programs, overseeing the development of cost studies for prospective customers, managing vendor relations, development and implementation of marketing and sales strategies. Statewide travel is required (approximately 60%+ - some overnight) to assist members locally with their group purchasing needs.

Hold a BA degree with 2 + years of experience in health care, group purchasing, or sales.
Must demonstrate proven ability to achieve targeted results,communicate effectively with vendors, association members, board members and co-workers.
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
Demonstrated ability to make cold calls and do requisite follow up.
Must have prior experience developing marketing and sales plans and making sound and independent business decisions.
Ability to work independently combined with effective willingness to work as a collaborative team player is key.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft applications required and familiarity with Salesforce/Nible AMS/YourMembership preferred.
Strong attention to detail, customer service, organization, spelling and grammar skills are essential.
